so i get all the filters in and am ready to make water! but evidentaly im not.

before RO membrane, 315-330 TDS. after....... wait for it...... 696!

either im retarded and cant read the stupid thing, or something is really wrong with my friggin system!

its brand new RO membrane. first time I AM using it but it has been used before and has been in storage for a while i am told.

i sanitized all filter compartments, just not the RO comartment because i was told it would hurt the membrane.

im done with it for tonight, too aggrivated to go on. so anything you have to say would be greatly appreciated.

Something's wrong. You did unhook the RO membrane chamber from the unit while you sanitized, right? As in, disconnect the input to the RO canister, and connect it either to the DI or put it in the drain? You took out the DI cartridges when you did this too, right? Did you leave it running for a while like this?

After you got it all set up, did you let it run for awhile? I had to run mine for 2 hours to clear the filters out...

This may sound dumb, make sure that the membrane is in the system. We had a 3reef member that the mfg never installed the membrane in their cartridge. Also, test the TDS meter. What make is your system?

The "remote" cartridge, last one not connected with the other 3, which way did you put it in? The black rubber washer should be facing up...not down.

if you;re replacing the membrane, make sure you match GPD with the old one or change your flow restrictor. :)
