I have a chance to get the Acan Lighting Model 104AC which retails for about $2000 for a 48" fixture. I can get it 3 months used for $1000. What do people think about the fixture? Thanks

These lights are thin! Great looking too, the control interface is simple. I have been able to play around with them at a swap and boy they sure are bright! Go for it!

Orphek has a light that runs about 900 dollars and will do the job for you. you probably have to hang it about a foot above your tank. What are your tank dimensions?

On a stock 46 bow that would burn the zoos to a crisp unless it was 2 feet plus off the tank. Id go with the acan or a maxspect led

Depends on the model. They do have a model not as strong. Better yet you could diy it with dimmable drivers and save half the cost. Rapid LED has a reqest email and they can suggest the led package you need. The money your going to spend I could diy my 225 and have money left over for corals.
