acclimating shrimp

    i am thinking about getting a peppermint shrimp tom after tom work to eat the majano anemone i just found and a fire shrimp friday. How do you guys acclimate shrimp and also crabs and snails because my reefcleaners order is coming friday

    If you ordered it from reefcleaners they will send you a slip with instructions. I would just do what john says :)

    as for the shrimp i'd do a drip aclimation

    +1 i have not personally delt with reefcleaners but with all of the good things posted about them and john they must be great. do what he says. drip acclimating sounds good also. but watch out for peppermint shrimp... maybe it was just mine but it was not reef safe and it killed other shrimp of mine. it was a nusance til the day it died. i personally will never get another one. plus often times they wont even touch aphasia or majano, so its not a garenteed solution. just inject them with liquid calcium or joes juice. that should do the trick.

    ahhhhh im just getting rid of my peppermint, this is my second one and he keeps eating my ricordea and zoas...but i floated him for about an hour. they are NOT reef safe

    what is joes juice ? though I'll be googling it after this post lol >,< ! i injected some anemones with concentrate lemon juice ( into the bases ) we'll see how that works heh

    right now i only have seen one im hoping thats the only one ill try the joes juice or lemon first i dont wont to deal with those problems im trying to aviod those

    If u only see one then i would just do it yourself. If it starts becoming out of control then i would consider getting one....u can google some pretty cool ideas on getting rid of the anemones....im going to buy some joes juice soon but ive also seen people use pickeling lime
