Ive been trying to add some snails to my system but none of them seem to make it. My water is just about perfect. I drip aclimated my first batch for about 45 mins and then put them in the tank and they died within a few days. I just aclimated my second batch for about 2 hours and they died in about a day. Can anyone tell me what im doin wrong or what i should try next?

with snails... I just float the bag for 15 minutes and dump them in... 95% of them wake up within 2-3 days... maybe you're just trying too hard?

also are you sure they're dead?

I was thinking the same thing when I read thread title. Temp acclimate then set em in there so there not on their backs.

With mine I just floated the bag for 30 minutes and then plopped them in - no problem! Good luck!

I made sure mine were not on their backs by placing them down on rocks and they were moving within a couple minutes. Maybe try that!
