Acrylic from lowes

    Is it ok to make the baffels from the acrylic that you can buy from lowes?

    I just wanted to make sure before i did anything.

    I bought mine from Home Depot but i'm prety sure it's the same stuff - worked like a charm :)

    do they call it acrylic at lowes and homer depot? i didn't know they carried it. how much does it go for and how big of a sheet is it?

    yes, in the Depot its on the back wall with the sheets of glass, the piece i bought cost me $18 and made all 4 of the baffles I needed to turn a 20 long into a refugium

    Yeah i got mine from lowes in the glass cutting area. I used 1/4 inch thick acrylic. They have different grades. I got the strongest stuff they had I think it's 250 times stronger than glass off the top of my head.

    Get the 1\4" size the thinner pieces are way too flimsy.
