I got my CuC yesterday and added them to my tank. My trochus snails have not moved and my thought is they are dead... Also I got 6 hermits and looks like they died too. A majority of my cerith snails seem to be alive but I can not tell. Looks like I wasted about 20.00 dollars on this CuC and I threw away the document that reefs2go require for credit. Oh, well I guess you live and learn..

Never ordered from them, but when i ordered from reefcleaners john said the snails and stuff might lay dormant for awhile. They could stay this way for a few days. For the price its probably better to order from them next time. Hopefully they come around

Yep, shipping is pretty stressful. My CuC from LA did that. Thought for sure most snails and hermits were dead, but all were fine a few days later.

A few of my snails have developed some white fuzzy stuff over them. I would think this means they are dead.

How did you add them to the tank? Did you drip them?

Drip acclimating online purchases is tricky. When you drip acclimate you are slowly raising the PH of the water.By doing so you are increasing the toxicity of the ammonia built up in the bag.It is then necessary IMO to add an ammonia detoxifier to the bag. Knowing exactly how much to add can be difficult and you are dealing with a bag full of inverts who are not in the greatest shape to begin with. The longer they have been in the bag the more it can become a problem. ;)
If you are seeing a white film I would remove those.clean them gently with sw and give them a sniff and/or check the trap door to see if it is sealed or not.

I did acclimate them. I just checked the trochus snails and one is still alive the other did not retract when I touch it and it smelled. I checked my turbo snails and two of them I could see the mouth and they seemed to be retracted already and would not move but the other 3 were decomposing and smelled.
