    Hello everyone,
I started out with about 15lbs of live rock initially to cycle, and I would like to know if I could add more. I'm guessing as long as it's fully cured, it would be alright, but I would like a more definite answer.

also, about how much live rock would fit into a 29 Gallon tank? I plan on making it a FOWLR at the moment, but in the future would like to go coral...as the tank becomes more established.:)

Even with fully cured live rock you may experience some minor die-off but should be OK.

As to how much LR.....it all depends on how much swimming room you want to give your fishies. One train of thought says 1lb per gallon, but I have seen successful tanks with both more and less rock.

    Hope this helps.

Well from my limited knowledge you should be able to get away with around 30-40 lbs of LR. And if it is fully cured then adding it should be no problem. I started my 55g two months ago and I've been adding cured LR every week when I stop by the LFS, and all is well

Yes, it helped! haha...thanks. It's hard to explain how one would like their tank to look...anyways!

Does it matter as to how much I add at a time? Like layering it up piece by piece until I get it to how I'd like it to look?

How much at time is up to you and your wallet. I'm just adding a little over a good period of time because it keeps me involved and I like to play with my tank. If you want add it all at once, your call.

hello, I think you can add as much as you like , its a great natural filtration, whenever i see a nice chunk of good rock i get it the more purple on the better.sometimes iget some free baby star fish , today i bought a few pieces , when putting them in my tank i noticed two different kinds of baby star fish that hitchhiked on it ,nice to get some freebies
