Hey guys. My neighbour is adding a pink tail trigger to his tank, but he has a pretty small cleaner shrimp in there. The trigger is actually only 4", which isnt that big for his tank (120g), but he's worried about the shrimp... anything to worry about? Should he store the shrimp in my tank until it grows and then pull the trigger out, reintroduce the shrimp, rearrange the tank, and then reintroduce the trigger? Any thoughts or suggestions? i heard they are pretty docile, and the cleaner shrimp isnt exactly "just" ornamental..

It may eat ornamental shrimp. It doesn't matter what size the shrimp is or how the tank is arranged... Any way you look at it he's gonna take a chance.
    Enjoy,
    Jim

Was just thinking that if the cleaner got settled in first then maybe he'd survive... Oh well, triggers in and happy so far.

I kept a Niger trigger with a cleaner shrimp, coral banded shrimp and hermit crabs. Everything was fine and I started to cut back on feedings --- and then he started on the occasional hermit crab but left the shrimp alone yet. So -- it all depends on the fish, the food source and luck as the trigger gets larger.
