    Hello All,
I've got a 125 gallon setup with a 30 gallon sump underneath. Tank has been cycled and now and has a few damsel enjoying it. There is currently about 150 pounds of live rock in this. I have been told I should have about 1.5 to 2 x the size of tank of rock for corals and fish. Can anyone make any recommendations to whether i should use more live rock, base rock or some kind of aqua cultured rock like thing. And to how much you think I should have for my system. Will adding the new rock to the tank cause it to recycle? Also have a 300 gallon protein skimmer. metal halide combo lighting and good water movement. also I have about 120 pounds of sand and 30 pounds of crushed coral.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Sounds like a very nice system over all.

I look at this way, if you like the current look do not change it because you think you need more rock. If you want to change the scape and add some rock get FULLY cured rock or some nice pieces of dry. Either way just get rock with no die off and you should not have to worry about a cycle.

And pictures are a must :)
