With clowns its hit and miss, just because they were in the same tank at the fish store doesnt mean they will not act aggressivelly with each other in your tank, especially when they start to mature. If there are 3 clowns one of them will become the 3rd wheel when and if the other 2 pair up. At this point the loner will be bullied and constantly picked on by the other 2 usually the larger of the other 2 which will be the female). And whos to say that the other 2 will even pair up you may just end up with 3 clowns squabbling over prime territory in your tank with the larger of the 3 putting the smackdown on the smaller ones.

as of right now they swim together all in the same area of the tank. im thinkin i might get a couple more so that way theres not just 3 but not until i get a few anenomes and more lr. if it doesnt work then i have a alternate home for the ones that dont get along too well but i still wanna try, of course ill have to wait for a weekend or something so i can monitor them and make sure theyll be fine together, i think itll be better than havin one stray fish that gets beat up (if it ever comes to that).
    thank you for the advice!

so, i had bought a black false percula and still had the orange true percula but since then alot has happened. the original true percula jumped out of the tank and died so we are more careful about closing the lid. i bought another percula and him and the black female werent gettin along... i was at a lose and didnt know what to do so i bought another percula to befriend the bullied true percula... they were fine but the black one was still aggressive... i then purchased another black clown and now all my clowns get along great. i have 2 true perculas that claim one corner and the 2 black false perculas that claim the overflow box.

I bought one of the percula clowns and a black and white clown. With in 3 weeks the percula clown killed the black and white one. And everything I read said if you introduce them at the same time and about the same size there shouldn't be any problems also read that the black and white one is the more aggressive of the two but just goes to show you all fish are different
