Got sand and water and all put together!

Well I got some sand in it, filled with water, lights up and running after some rewiring of the cooling fan...got a maxi-jet powerhead goin...still going to invest in a skimmer but for right now it will be ok since the bioload is nothing..lol

See lucky for me I kept filter sponges in my 125g reef's refuge and they are loaded with bacteria...so I'm ahead of the game ;D

Even if you kept filter sponges etc, you still have to cycle the rock. So you will still have to endure a cycle. You can use the sponge if you wanted to start it. I prefer raw table shrimp.

Nice deal though. Cant wait to see some more pics. I too am kicking around another small tank. My 125 is pretty much done.

    Nothing is better than free

So a girl that one of my friends just started dating got hold of me once i posted pics on facebook of my tank...she said she had some rock at her house that was just "in her way"...when i picked it up...it was the most awesome looking base rock ever...it looks great in my tank...its about 110lbs and it was ALL free..lol I even had enough to trade one of my buddies for a big frag of long green star polyps..
