It's that way with any method. The key is to react with you first see them.

How do you inject them with boiling water?

Boil water, suck it into a syringe quickly into tank and squirt into aptasia hole....does the trick every time.

For me they do. 90 gal reef, 2 cleaners,5 peppermints, 2 camel backs.

No Aptasia other than in the overflow after that. Been 2 years with all the shrimp now.

From everything Ive heard or read the peppermints are hit and miss on the Aptasia.

If you get a few peppermints, they probably will start eating the pests. Cleaner shrimp won't go after peppermints. Now if you get some peppermints, and nuke the bigger aiptasia, then you should put a dent on the population.

Copperbands do eat aiptasia well. I have never seen one that does not eat aiptasia. When they run out of aiptasia is when they usually have issues.

Many butterflies will eat these pests as well, but might eat corals too.

If it gets too bad, you might have to boil or cook the rock.

I personally have had good success with kalk paste (pickling lime and water in a thick paste) and injecting each aiptasia with the slurry.

oh then think if I add about 5 in my 150 it will be ok? At least I'll have 5 chances that one will eat aipstasia.

    Probably a good plan.

A friend had some aiptasia in his 120g, and he added like 3 peppermints and they have eaten all but 3 in a week. He didn't have a ton bvefore, but they certainly are working.
