    Hi There,

I have just started so please forgive me if the following are silly questions. I set up a marine tank 5 days ago with cured live rock, its a 95 Ltr tank and i originally got 3 pieces of live rock, I went back and got another piece but selected myself, I was keen to select a piece with some type of plant grow, but I think I made a boo boo! Are these Aiptasia anemone(s)? they are all over the one piece of live rock. Although the tank has only been set up for 5 days I have discovered to my amazement some small craps ( i have not introduced anything apart from live rock), however the largest seems to have died I have been reading throug this forum and am wondering if the aiptasia has killed it? Should I get the lemon juice and needle/syringe out and get ride of these anemone? have I identifed them correctly?

    Thank you

    1. Yes, it is Aiptasia
    2. No, Aiptaisa did not kill the crab.
    3. Lemon juice sometimes work and so does Aiptasia X, but what works the best(IMO) are Peppermint shrimps. Not sure that is a good idea since you havent begun your cycle period yet. I would just take that LR out and place it in boiling water.
