Without spoiling what project that im starting, ill keep it simple. I have a rimless aquarium with a MH 8" above the tank. If i were to put an airstone near the middle of the aquarium, would there be any salt creep? because i know thats one of the few bad things about air bubbles in a tank... If there will still be salt creep, where? i dont really see any places where the water could catch onto from the popping bubbles on the surface of the water to evaporate therefore creating salt creep

Bubbles explode when they make it to the surface of the water. The bubble explosion will spray. The water will dry and the salty residue will remain, therefore creating salt creep.

It depends on the dimensions of your tank. Bursting bubbles can spread salt creep a pretty good distance. My guess is that if your tank is less than 24" in either dimension, you will get some spray/salt creep. If your tank is at least 36" in both length and width, you are probably alright (but may have salt creep from other issues).
