Figured everyone else is rockin a tank thread... I might as well too! So here goes.

Current setup: 29G BioCube, with a 2nd chamber refugium (removed bio-balls)

Current inhabitants: 2 Feather dusters, Six-line wrasse, Yellow Tail Damsel, Coral Banded Shrimp

Current Corals: 1 Zoa that has just been glued to the LR

and a small Duncan frag (1 head and 1 baby head). I thought this guy was dying but he has made a dramatic comeback and is even bigger now.

So that's my tank up through today. So far my nitrates and phos have been a little high but the corals seem okay with it so far. Once I get those levels down (hoping the refugium does its job) I plan on adding another fish and another frag of some sort (suggestions?).

Looking good. Could you take a pic of how you have the tank chambers set up and how a fuge is incorporated in to the nano

It's pretty straightforward... Removed bio-balls, scraped off black coating behind the second chamber, added LR rubble and chaeto and attached a light to the wall behind the tank that lights the fuge.

I am thinking about removing the wall between chamber 1 and 2 so that I can increase the size of the fuge. The protein skimmer should still fit and I currently have the heater in the pump chamber.

Anyone ever done this? Does having the water go up and over the wall between chamber 1 and 2 provide any real benefit?

The benefit is a surface skimmer. If someone tells you that you need the water drip to "turn the water" just pass over the comment. If you run a skimmer, your gonna get plenty of oxygenation that way.

Cool, so for follow up, anyone know of a good skimmer that will fit in the back of the biocube, but that will still leave room for the refugium? The Oceanic one just doesn't seem up to snuff.

    Koralia killing my fish?

I added a Koralia 1 yesterday and today my six-line wrasse is missing and my damsel fish is laboring, breathing rapidly and not moving much.

    This ever happen to anyone?

Is my Koralia electrocuting my fish? I unplugged it just in case.

Any other suggestions as to what to do about this?

I also attached a new zoa frag today, and did a 1/2 liter top-off with RO/DI water from the LFS. I don't think any of these things would have caused these problems, though. I am pretty sure the fish were already having issues. I didn't see them all morning and only found the damsel after looking behind my rocks.

So I located my wrasse, or at least what I think is my wrasse. I had been seeing what looked like tiny little pieces of blue glass. Upon closer inspection the little pieces look pieces of a skeleton. Not sure what caused the death. I am guessing the stress of the new powerhead combined with my coral banded shrimp may have done it.

The shrimp just molted again last night so I am thinking he had himself a big meal and then couldn't fit in his skin anymore.

Pics of my new zoas soon!
