My aquarium is currently undergoing a cycle. I've noticed that some algae is starting to grow in the corner of my tank. It grows more every day! When will this stop and how?

All part of the cycle. You will go through several different types of algae in the next year as your tank cycles and matures.

+2 When starting a sw tank out, that will be part of the cycle containing several types of algae at time.
    How old is your tank?

Give it 2+/- months and with the proper clean up crew, you'll be algae free

Depending on the type of algae. I don't agree that algae is a part of a new tank cycle. I never had an algae issues so I for one can attest to this fact. Whether or not you develop algae issues depends on many things. The most common being, feeding, lighting, water source and type of rock are just a few. High nutrients, high phosphates and poor lighting are the main contributors.
Do you know what type of algae it is? What does it look like? Are you running your lights now? What are you using for filtration? What is your water source? Answer these questions and we'll better be able to help :)

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    yup, yup and yup.

I would not be too concerned about the normal algae issues, GHA and diatoms with a bout of cyanobacteria in the first 3-6 months of a new tank as long as you are using RO/DI water and are not introducing nitrates and phosphates into the system via over feedings.

Following along.... i have algae issues also with my new tank...my algae is green. I have live rock from an established tank and live sand from an established tank. Ammonia 0 nitrites 0 nitrates 0 Phosphate 0.25. Thinking about running GFO also but have not done so yet. Guess we ll both see what happens with our tanks. It ll either get better or worse!!
