Do you guys think he should try a Phosphate-Remover, like Phosphat-e? that helped me with my hair algae. Also, throw in a little activated carbon in your filter, that helped me to. But it all comes down to getting your gloves on and gettin' in there and ripping it out about twice a week until it just can't grow anymore.

I have to say listen to Tangster on this. Remove that rock or trouble is in your future. If you just tear it out little pieces will go every where and ultimately spread like wild fire.

    Feather algae sucks

I got feather algae along with a feather duster of all things. It is a plague, but I think I finally got it all. First- get used to pruning. remove every last fragment of it- and I mean all of it! Pull it out, put it in a rag, repeat. I had to weed my tank every 2-3 days and clean out the filter since it enjoyed it as well. It took me about a month, but I think I finally got it all. Have fun.
