A while back I bought a controller with a ph probe for my ca reactor. Since I have not been able to hook up the ca reactor yet, I have not been using the ph probe. Yesterday out of curiosity I calibrated and stuck it in my tank. I am surprised at the little variation in the ph up to now even when lights are off at night.

Shake the probe a bit and make sure you don't have air bubbles by the end of the probe. That will throw off your readings some.
Quit spearfishing so much and get that Ca reactor up and running....:Halloween43:

To piggyback on what otty suggested, according to the instructions, you should calibrate the unit every month or so. Yeah right!:Halloween41:
