Amazing Algae Turn Around

Check out the difference in my tank between January 30 and February 14. Two weeks from golf course full of GHA to clean as a whistle.

If anyone on this site needed PROOF that John at reefcleaners.org is a GOD. Here it is. I added a CuC per Pedredhil's "recipe"... lots of snails and crabs and followed John's advice and magic... algae is gone. I also worked on my water parameters so in reality there were several factors in the improvement, but I am pretty darn pleased with the progress.

Congrats!!! The hobby is more fun without algae isn't it?

 

Amazing what happens when you research, find experts and actually follow their advice!!!

I am just thrilled. Can't wait to add more corals, but I promised myself to wait until my birthday in March to "go slow". Want to make sure the algae STAYS AWAY before adding more.

Besides, gives me time to research what to add.

On a slightly more amusing note - that "Turn the Beat Around" song (from the disco age and now on those I Cant Believe it's Not Butter commercials) started playing in my head with this random visual of some really happy guy dancing around his tank singing...

(what can i say? I was there for the Disco Era and survived it...but not without a bit of "mental shrapnel"...

Hey... I hadn't looked at my karma and the little animal thing below my name lately... your K+ caused me to look... Coral banded Shrimp sounds much better than Skunk Shrimp and some of the others along the way. Not a Great White Shark, but hey... and closing in on 10K Karma. Not that any of it matters, but it amuses me...

The last two weeks have just been HORRIBLE with Obama's announcement that he wants to cancel the U.S. manned spaceflight program.... thus I am easily amused today.... Thanks for the smile. Nice to take a break...
