We found an Amiracle Protein Skimmer on craigslist for sale it seems to be a great price and the person does not know much about it. We would like to go take a look at it but we want to make sure we know what we are looking for we want to make sure all the parts and pieces are there. Does anyone know how many parts there are to it or a directions that might be able to show us how many parts are with it? Also, are these any good? Apparently the person does not know the model number ect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I haven't heard that name in a while. :)
Amiracle made a lot of wet/drys and protein skimmers in the 1990's. I am not sure when they dropped off, but, in their day, they were pretty good. At least their wet/drys. The protein skimmers were rather basic counter-current stuff and not - GASP! - cone shaped. But they were ok. You could do better now for the money.

Went to check it out and half the pieces were gone. We thought it was a good deal $20 for the skimmer and 2 Aquaclear 70s but they tend to not work unless they are complete. Guess we'll have to break down and buy a new one.
