    My friend actually has PCs and has a rbta that is about 14 in, def one of the biggest ones ive seen. It is at the top of the tank and not far from the light but he has had it for a couple of years. Im not saying its ideal but its possible. Maybe he just got lucky I dont know but it has worked out for him. I also couldnt tell u what kind of PCs they are but they r def PCs. It is def a risk tho and you just have to decide if its worth it.

    I have the same lighting on my 55 and it is not enuff...need at the least t-5 or better yet halide...he will not live...sorry...I tried the same thing...

    Pharmr, I'm almost 100% sure his "10 sentences" comment was directed at me. But I'm with you, I'm washing my hands of this one. I gave my advice, several others agreed with me, and he still wants to do things his own way. Not much else to be done about it.

    If ya really enjoy the hobby and care anything at all about the animals you will take it back to the store. I guess now we will see how much your really into what your doing. Remember it is a life not just an object...thanks for your time and enjoy the hobby....
