Wait 9 months to a year. You don't mention what kind of lighting you have. Don't attempt with PC lighing. T5 or MH only.

I agree, your tank is too new. I also wouldn't do it until your done stocking fish and they are all comfortable.

Oops. I should read things. I would still say no from the age of the tank.

this leads to my next question...

how about setting up a sea horse tank? (ready for the challenge) instead?
i just want to get some use to that tank or else my mom will want to take it down.

i like both ideas. i cant help with the nem however i can give you info on sea horses here goes:

they need a cold water temp around 74 degrees to help keep off infections and bacteria

they need fed three times a day- you can try an automatic feeder. they need fed this often because they have no stomach

need very good water quality- only slight nitrate can be tolerated- chaeto and mangroves with a skimmer would be very nice, maybe a sump too, whatever keeps it all in check

29 gallon minimum- they get 5 inches-this is for two as they do better in pairs

no anemones or corals that can sting

no other fish that will out compete it for food

    They can eat frozen mysis

TANK BRED IS A MUST this ups the cance of servival because they are used to frozen foods

you can have flow but it needs to be in one direction and must stay that way so they know how to get around the tank and get to hitching spots

you need some copepods so that they can graze throught the day- no stomachs remimber

    PH- 8.0-8.4- constatly the same

    Salinity-1.021-1.024-constantly the same

    Nitrates<20ppm- as low as possible

turn off filter until done eating

selcon soak food for added nutrition- no stomachs remimber :p

    thats all i have.

    good luck

from what I remember you dont have proper t5s for your tank. especially for anemones.
