So I'm leaveinf for work this morning and see my anmone shrivled up tenticles but the base of it seems nice and red like the day I got it and was detachted barely hanging onto the live rock. Just yesterday it was cruiseing my tank when I found it hanging by a thread on my decoration I grasped it and placed on the live rock it perked up and took hold is this normal
I mean I just got done correcting my parameter that went wacko is it just stressted I mean my nitrates were at 20 when I checked befor I left.
But everything else is zero and ph I didn't check but no fish are stressed ill check the ph when I get home at 1 if its still shriveled

Never touch or try to move a nem. You can easily injure it, not to mention the stress.

Nems frequently close to exchange water, expel waste, etc. However, it may be shocked from parameter swings. That's why it's recommended that they are only placed in mature, stable tanks.

Best you can do at this point is keep everything stable and keep a close eye on it.

nems can be tempermental. Few questions, how long has your tank been running, how long have you had the nem, what type of lights do you have?

If a nem is wandering it's unhappy about something, flow, light, etc. For the most part every BTA I've gotten has footed in one place and never moved.

lights idk, i was looking at upgrading them they are jsut a stock fishtank light, flow moderate, getting a wavemaker soon for it, the tank is about 3-4 months old had the nem for about a month. im pretty sure its unhappy about the light cause it is a old light. just havnt gotten it yet the LFS is not so local for me. its a typical 48" light strip i can probally get a 10k light from homedepot the might work what do you think?

Yeah it sounds like your lights are not powerful enough. Nems do best under Metal Halides or a good quality T5 fixture (4-bulbs or more IMO). Until you get a nice light set-up they may wander and wander searching for more light. If you have other corals that poses a threat and they can also get sucked into powerheads/intakes and die, even crash a tank.

How many bulbs are in your fixture, how many watts per bulb?

A good LED system will support anything you want.

FYI, it would save you a lot of trouble and money to do some research, then upgrade your equipment before adding the livestock. :)
