Currently I have 2 tomato clowns (mated pair), and a royal gramma for fish. See my signature for what else I have in the tank. I was thinking of some schooling fish, and didn't come up with anything good, then thought about the Cardinal fish, but wasn't sure since it's nocturnal and I don't have a ton of live rock. So have been thinking about Dotty Back, Neon Blue Goby, Six Line Wrasse, or maybe an Angel fish. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Would like something with some blue in it (probably not the right motivation for a fish, but nevertheless the case).

I have a Neon Dottyback and love him. He is very active, curious and loves to show off. Best of all he has a bright blue topside! :sunny:

    Don't mix a gramma with a dottyback. They'll fight.

If you intend to stay fish-only, I'd get a butterfly. Lots of nice ones to choose from.

I intend on adding some coral and/or invertabrates at some point, so Mickey, any other suggestions knowing that?
Also, I've heard Butterfly's are aggressive, where as my others aren't so much, you still think they are OK?

I would steer clear of the Butterfly since you have shrimp. The butterfly will nip at them until they have no legs left. I would go with the neon.

I agree, stay away from dottybacks and pseudochromis with that R. Gramma. Also most wrasses will harrass small shrimp, if not eat them. What about Blue Devils, cheap and beautiful.
Might also think about a Coral Beauty Angel for something blue.

Raven, not all wrasse are shrimp eaters. The fairy wrasses (Cirrhilabrus) are great reef fish. Very beautiful and peaceful, though pricey. They do better in a larger, and preferably deeper, tank, though.
