Anybody use MRC skimmers

The store I was working for is closed and all the inventory is going. I currently have a 135g reef tank. I have SPS, LPS and clams. I only have 3 fish (Big Purple..who is a large purple tang that will not let anything else in teh tank because it kills them, a large female bellus angel and 1 lonely picasso clown) I will be moving Big Purple into my predator tank soon so I can get some other fish!

I currently have a hydor performer 400 skimmer that is IMO a piece of junk! Doesnt pull anything out.

The store has a MRC 1 and MRC 2 skimmer and he is going to make me a deal on it. I was wondering if anybody has used them before (I have seen it in the store used, but wondering other opinions)

Thanks....I did not get either one, instead I bought the MRC 3. It looks like an awesome skimmer. It does 500g and if I add another becket it will go higher

My Reef Creations

I need to get a pressure rated pump for it still so it will not be hooked up for a bit. I figured I would go for this one, as eventually I want to set up a large inwall tank in the basement with a fish room with a large sump and plumbing from that sump to all my systems. .

I also bought about 20 bottles of Brightwell chemicals to stock up. I wish I had more money...there is so much stuff I wanted to get. I am going to get a calcium reactor down the line..probably from MRC also...but that is going to wait. He is able to order still for me at anytime but he had already sold all the used ones.

If I had more money I could have gotten a 600 acrylic tank, lights, etc But got to live within my means so things will have to wait
