    i just wish i could my wife or some of my friends to atleast give a little of a rats *** about my hobby i mean they get mad when i ignore them when they talk about their hobby.

    anyone else have this wish to get them to give a little care

    Naww actually I do not need another know it all in my house. LOL

    Never had a significant other that took much interest in the hobby and that if fine with me, they have no idea how much I am spending.

    lol that is true i dont want another know it all in the house, and if only my wife knew the amount of money im going to spend setting up my reef tank i think i would be slapped senseless several times over hehehehe

    could be worse,,,,,,,,,,,,could have them interested in it just as much if not more than you....you too can look like a fish store in your house! We organized all the stuff that the 2 of us collected over the years and seriously we can open our own supply store!

    Exactly. Plus, you don't have to worry about anyone trying to "help" and screwing something up when you're away. That's why my tank is in my man-cave which gets locked while I'm gone. :)

    One know it all in my house is plenty too.So while my wife is busy knowing everything except my tank just makes it easier on me to sneak things in here and there.;)

    It's good to know that I'm the only know-it-all in the house when it comes to fish tanks, but I wish that it didn't feel like I had to convince them to let me go get stuff for the tank sometimes (ie. Do we REALLY need to buy more water? We just bought some a week ago ::))

    My wife pays no mind to my hobby and it is a good thing, there is still 2 Corals in there she has yet to notice which means also there is some money she doesn't know I spent on my hobby :D

    I think I have it great then...my wife loves fish and loves tanks in the house (she just bought me a 28 nano for the living room :)). But she has no interest in doing anything besides feeding some food during the day. She has no idea how to maintain them, so that is all up to me (which I prefer!). And she loves when I bring home new fish or corals, as well as going shopping with me and helping to pick out new things.

    Best of both worlds ;D
