I just picked up a RR 100g acrylic tank and I need to polish it to get the scratches out. I know its going to be a lot of time and work but has anyone had good results with Novus? what about anything else? any other hints, tricks or tips?

I used it on a very scratched 100g. Worked perfectly.

My tip would be to get a small kid, stick him in there with an electric sander and don't remove him for about 10 hours later :)

Thanks Incognito, great idea. My 10 year old daughter will fit just fine. No food or water until the job is done to my stisfaction. ;D. I have seen people say use an electric sander, but that seems kind of harsh, but I guess thats how its done.

I love the novus polish for minor scratch removal. I used to use it on vehicle emergency lights. Anything deep will probably require sanding.

We actually used good ole elbow grease with the sand paper and an orbital polisher with a soft terry bonnet with the novus. It has to be a slurry. If you run the polisher + novus with just the dry bonnet, you will not get good results.

Our child will never say "I'm bored" again.....

I was nice enough to push the tank in front of the TV.....
