I run my osmolator through a kalk reactor and would like to setup an outlet on the apex to limit the run time to less than a minute or so and also have it turn the outlet off in case the ph raises to above 8.4 or so.
I have contacted neptune and he basically told me to read the unofficial users guide , which i have but to be honest im not really comprehending how to do it.
    Any help would be great

I've never used a PH statement, but I believe this will work for you (I wouldn't mind some validation, though):

    Fallback OFF
    Set OFF
If Time 08:00 to 08:01 Then ON
If Ph > 8.4 Then Off

I use the first three statements for my Kalk supply.

I don't get why you want less than a minute. The Osmolator is topping off your sump right???

That the problem using a ATO... I mean plenty of people do it and you can be fine... but you have to let the ATO do it's job and top off. If you turn off the outlet all the time, when ever you restore power to the osmolator it pumps water for what 10-15 sec? on initial startup to show you it's working.... so cutting power all the time will also run it.

You can certainly use a PH statement for safety... if> 8.4-8.5 then off... but then you might not top off enough. If you turn it off on high PH... then do not turn it back on till low PH. Meaning PH > 8.4 = OFF. PH < 8.3 = on.

The reason is that as soon as PH hits 8.4, which is certainly possible adding kalk, power will be cut to the outlet. But as soon as it hit 8.39 then power will be resored and more will be added. The ATO can be going on and off all the time regardless of sump level.

But all this might be moot becaues the osmolator kicks in very small amounts all the time and keeps a very stable level... so you may be worrying over nothing. Let it do it's job and see how it goes. Lots of people use the osmolator with kalk... and then if water level and ph stay fine.. then just add a safety staement that says if PH gets... 8.5... then turn off, alert, and do not restore till 8.30... because after you have seen it work fine then we would know 8.5 is way past normal.

Power has a good point - I didn't read into the original post that this was also used for ATO.

Thanks for the replies, I really just wanted to utilize the apex into it for some safety backups, as I travel quite a bit and it's just one less thing to worry about while I'm away.

i dose kalk threw my ato. in my apex in the ato outlet program i have this

If pH > 08.35 Then OFF

it shuts the ato off if the ph goes past 08.35 and turns it back on when it drops back under that. i like to keep my ph at 8.1 to 8.3

you could also set what you want to do up using the pre programed light program in the apex. it will ask you on time and off time, for that outlet and asks you what probe to use as auto shut off. and shut down value

Thanks, I'm going to play around with it and see what works best.
I'm actually still cycling this tank and not running any kalk in the reactor , just trying to get it all setup through the apex.

apex is an awesome controller. my last add on mine was the salt probe. love it!
