To edit an outlet from the Web Interface:
Configuration – Outlet Setup – Status – from the Outlet drop down box near the top of the screen, choose the outlet to edit.
Outlet Name: the name of the outlet that appears on the Status Screen and is referred to in the program.
Control Type: choose to use a Wizard (Light, Pump, Heater, etc) or choose Advanced to custom program the outlet.
Icon: choose the icon that will represent this outlet on the Status Screens.

    Hope this helps... :)

FYI: This is directly from the Apex User Guide.

Yeah I am using the guide and have done all that and have all my lights configured with what time i want them on and off.
I guess what I am saying is I just don't know how to make it when I plug them in to the first outlet on th EB8 to get them to get power and turn on.

    Oh okay cool!

I think you want to use outlet (3_1) or (3_5), thats what it looks like on my Apex. If you want to use your RELAY outlets then use (3_4) or (3_8 ). Keep in mind need to manually learn each outlet and program around it, for example I couldn't plug my return pump into the first outlet and tell my Apex its the third outlet.

    Found it here:
Config -> Outlet Setup -> Outlet (Drop down menu)

    Yours may be (2_1) or (2_5) and (2_4) or (2_8 )

Just thought I would answer this. What this means is that your username and password are sent in the clear without being encrypted (e.g.: the site is http://apex and NOT https://apex). The https means that all information is encrypted when sent across the network. On your home intranet, this is not an issue. If you are using it over the internet (accessing your APEX from work or from your phone), what this means is that someone could "sniff" your packets and will see your password in clear text. If it was encrypted, then they would see a bunch of garbage instead of your clear text username and password. To me, this isn't much of an issue as we just use it to control our aquariums and most won't even know what to do with it. Most of the hackers don't care about aquariums, they care about stealing your identity...
On the other hand, if my bank did not use https with a trusted third party signed certificate (websites use the public/private key encryption technique), I would avoid them like the plague! This also pertains to any time you are giving out important and confidential data. If the website is not preceded with https and the certificate is not signed by a trusted third party (your browser will let you know this as it comes preloaded with a list of trusted third parties)... exit immediately and DO NOT fill out your information! Sorry for the book... but I feel people need to know this as it is security 101 and can mean the difference of your credit card being "stolen," or worse... complete identity theft...

Is it bad that I care about my tank as much as my identity!?! Someone could easily log in and dose ALK or turn on my ATO and flood my tank....
