pepermint shrimp, but get a six pack. I had the glass nem nemesis for a few months. Used aiptasia x and joe's, both worked well, but I could only treat the ones I could see. First three peps I tried did nothing, but #4 was a natural born aptasia killer!

I personally had a BAD experience with peppermint shrimp...I bought 2 and the only thing they started eating were my corals! I think I read a post somewhere that there are different types of peppermints?...and not all will eat aiptasia.

I used (still use) Aiptasia Control by Blue Vet Rx and it works great. It also kills Majano anemones too. However, as previously stated, you can only kill the one you can see. I still have to zap one every once and a while b/c I can't get behind my rocks so well.

I would reccomend peperment shrimp to the fullest! they ate all my aptasia within a week, even the really big ones, and within that week they had also eliminated all the small aptasia popping up here and there. The other benefit to peperments is they will constantly controll any aptasia growths that happen to pop up in the future!

you also have to be careful to get the right type of pepermint shrimp. There are two types and if you get the wrong one that wont do you any good.

I used Aptisia X and i was actually suprised that it worked.

I had bought 5 peppermint shrimp but they didn't touch them, tried the lemon juice but hard to inject them without them retracting, bought Aptasia X, love this, work great and some reason the aiptasia actually "hugs" the syringe when you go to cover them. Hope it helps!

I think the "bad" peppermint shrimp are called camel shrimp..if you do go that route..research both to make sure you get the right ones

I use the pickling lime method.when you mix it up,its thick ,then you just squirt a little out of a syringe right above them. They think its food and take it in,then its too late for them.Like stated above, you can only get the ones you can reach but it gives you something fun to do once in a while when new ones pop up
