    Hey Everyone,

Not sure if you all are aware. There may be a thread on here somewhere. but Ken at Kens Reef put together a gadget that will display your AquaControllers stats directly on your desktop as a Gadget.. First and foremost I must give Thanks to Ken for the hard work on this.. Pretty cool little toy! (not sure if he is a member here or not) Anyway..

You can download the gadget at: www.kenargo.com/software/index.php#VistaStatusGadget

What you are going to want to make sure that you do is save the gadget to the following folder: "C:\Users\[account name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets"

NOTE: for some users the file may download as a zip file. This happens during download by your provider. (Verizon does this) you will need to ensure that you rename the file so it has a .gadget extention

What the gadget does is connect to your aqua controller and post the statistics right on your desktop sidebar. According to Ken, You can configure a timer (default=ALM) which, when "on" will cause the status text to be shown in red or green when it is off.

Tips once you download to the proper folder you will need to add the gadget to your desktop. Once there right click on the gadget and select options.. This is where you can change your IP address if needed etc.

Anyway was out crusin the net today and found this. Hope Ken does not mind I shared but check out his site while you are there. Some pretty cool stuff!!

Here is what it looks like (screen shot taken from my desktop):

Hey ComputerJohn- I am running the ACIII but it also supports the new Apex apparently as well. As for connection, I am not sure. It connects wirelessly to the controller through the new.. I beleive it updates every few minutes. I think this things is great.. for the amount of time I spend on my PC it's pretty cool to see the stats right there on my desktop.
