aqua lifter pumps ???

pro's and cons ? really wana get some sort of automatic dosing on my tank, as I forget to dose alot, and I feel like im holding my tank back from what it could be.

 

I have been using two for about 6 months, so far so good. I have read where people using them 24/7 to keep air out of their overflow tubes get about a year out of them. I would suspect using them for dosing would extend the life nicely.

 

how adjustable are they as far as dosage rate ?

 

You control the dosage by the time you let the pump run. Length of hose and height variance change the performance of the pump. You will need and should test how long it takes to get the amount you desire to dose.

 

sounds like its gona be a pain lol. i dose currently 50 ml a day, when I can remember to do so.

 

LOL that is nothing. I dose 70ml 12X daily for alk and 30ml 12X daily for Ca. It is not that difficult really. Set up your dosing storage area and pumps and lines from the area. Set you doser for x seconds and measure how much is dispensed. Adjust until you get close to what you want.

BTW, what are you looking to dose? Have ya considered a calcium reactor? ;p

 

Ireally wana stay away from a reactor, dnt have the room, and i have a pride about me for not having one lol. Im only dosing 2 part and or kalk, def gona have a filter for the kalk
