i was comparing the two sites, and i noticed that Aquacon is always on the smaller side of minimum tan sizes compared to Liveaquaria being on the more then big enough size, what do you guys think?

Liveaquaria generally has the larger minimum tank sizes. But I personally would follow them more.

the other might be more realistic for the average hobbyist.

But LA is more realistic for the fish.

I'd go with LiveAquaria. I trust them! They have the best interest of the fish at heart.

I just went through a couple of Aquacon's recommendations and they seemed WAY underrated on some of them. Such as... Regal tang - Minimum of 20 Gallon. That is just plain nuts.

oh its not that i dont trust them, but realisticly my clown, which LA recommended 20+, and Aquacon recommended 5+, is in an 8 gal bio and is doing great, if not better then at the lfs in a 20 gal.

i didnt look at the tangs, im just talking "nano" fish, they have had some typo's on there though

    Ill just say this.

Fish may have recomended sizes. they may do well in what they are given. But a clown in a larger tank over 100G stll is happier and Uses the whole tank. The ocean is no comparison to what we give our fish.

Aquacon is a scam. Just google Aquacon reviews on google.

I did the mistake of ordering corals from aquacon. The frogspawn arrived dead, the acro looked nothing like the picture, and the other two died within days (and trust me, I'm not a psycho coral murderer). I emailed them twice with no reply. Never again. At least my six-line survived.
