But i dont know where this goes. from the nipple in the overflow to the input...then where does the output of the aqualifter go to?? Thank you

Either back into the tank or into the overflow box above the drain. The pump will pull the air out of the weir and then begin to pump water so just put the out flow tube somewhere that keeps the water in your system.

Gotcha thanks...just got my sump going and nothings leaking or over flowing like i imagined haha. But i have a SWC 200 protein skimmer, and i know nothing about skimmers. Its very over sized for my tank but i was told thats fine since ill be upgrading down the road. How exactly does this thing work? Water goes through the pump into the skimmer and then what? because i tried turning it on a minute ago and water went in and out through the top lol. Thanks

To add just a bit to this...I started by running the return into the vent opening of the CPR overflow cover, behind the tank, but still found it to be somewhat noisy.....thus, I changed the return to discharge into the tank and loop the line back behind the skimmer section of the CPR...this way it was underwater, silent, and the bubbles dissipate before being sucked back into the CPR, also, there was no salt creep issue...

the skimmer section of your cpr? As in the first section? Sorry got a little confused  Also if you know anything about protein skimmers i had a question in my last post. Im probably just making a stupid mistake or doing something totally wrong, but i know nothing about how MY OWN skimmer works  lol

Now i made the protein skimmer 9 inches in the water and it isnt overflowing anymore but nothings making it to the collection cup. The water is only half way through the skimmer, is there something i gotta do?

let it run like that, usually takes a week or 2 to break down any oil or coating left in the skimmer cone from the manufacturing process, once it breaks in it will start bubbling and you can fine tune it.

Yes, the surface skimmer section of the CPR which is inside of the tank...
