I stand corrected. I put my tank up for sale on my local forum and it sold withing a minute of hitting post reply.. I'm selling my fish seperately and didn't realize how attached I am to these fish. Most of them I've had since my second tank..

Glad to hear you got it sold of quickly. it can be hard sometimes selling complete setups. That said, I know how you feel with the tank becoming a chore and not enjoying it. I had that this year. Since November last year, my 180 was a chore. I was losing SPS left and right. it just looked like crap and the only fix was to throw a ton of money and time into it. Neither of which I had. in june, I came clean to my wife. we decided it was time to downsize. She was tired of the big tank and sump in the garage and it just not looking pretty. So after 4 years with my 180 dream tank, we bought a rimless 66 gallon tank and i set it up to be super simple and easy to maintain.

I empty and clean the skimmer weekly, change the filter socks weekly. this takes a total of MAYBE 10 mins. I replace the 5 gallon ATO jug every 5 days. I keep 50 gallons in the garage. I feed them fish daily and clean the glass every 3 or 4 days if that. With the BB tank, the nasties get put into a corner and I vacuum it into the sock every week before I change the socks. I can go several weeks without doing this too.

Im starting to spend more time testing and enjoying this new system because it is so easy. I told the wife last night how much I am enjoying it and how much of a stress relief it has been.

Next challenge, hatching and raising some black darwins. and then im going to build my own AIO system

When it rains it POURS. I'm in a rage right now. before I go off, I'm aware this is entirely my fault.. Those Bannerfish brought Brooklynella into my tank. I have already lost my Emperor Angel, Flame Angel, Royal Gramma, and my Queen Angel is swirling around the drain. I have a QT set up, but I've been down this road before so I know it's only a matter of time. I went to a different fish store for the Banners and trusted what they said that they were in QT down at the supplier in Miami and I bought them straight from the bag when they got back in town. This is a myth I had never heard before and fell for it. They never saw water at this LFS I bought them from. I can't believe I slipped up like this. It's at this point I should say F it, the tank is already sold, good riddance but I'm going the complete opposite way. I pulled the plug on the sale and have 100% fire under my butt to get this trainwreck back on the tracks.

I have a 20gal QT set up. I added quick cure drops to QT. Also feed Dr. G's medicated caviar. This all did the trick last time, but I think they are too far gone now.. Sucks

Brook is nothing I'd wish on my worst enemy. It takes about three days to wipe out any livestock susceptible to it. By the time I noticed it it's too late. QT everything! Twice
