hello every body i just joinded and just got my first 55 gallon salt water aquarium and have always been an enthusiest!
i have a 55 gallon aquarium with between 40 and 45 pounds of life rock and 1.5-2 inches of live sand,
2 false percula clowns, blue damsel, four striped damsel, two turbo snails, astrea snails, hermit crabs, and a coral banded shrimp.
i have a horrible aqua clear 500, and two heaters.
the aquar clear makes so much noise when the water comes in contact with the tanks water serface : /

so here is what some people are offering me in terms of equipment:

one guy if offering me an eheim wet/dry 2229, for $130,
    48" coralife lights 4x65w for $125
a red sea prizm protein skimmer $50
a 4000 pump (he siad it would be a good water mover in my tank) for $40
or if i bought all it would be $320

another person is offering me :
an aquaC remora protein skimmer $100
maxi jet 1200 power heads (2) $15 each
    Uv sterolizer $40
    HOB refugium $60

she said the skimmer was 5 years old so idk how old the other things are :/

    are they ok deals?
also what should i get for my tank, it can be a combination ok what each has to offer, oh also are the lights strong enough to have corals, i just want an anemone or anemones and maybe a few soft corals, max like 3 or 4

I like the price of the HOB refugium and the Remora skimmer!!
48' Coralife lighting is probably power compact that really are not a recommendable choice for many corals and clams...trust me!!!! experience

    Go for that Remora.

I would never put much money is a used pump of any kind.

They do deteriorate with age and not knowing for sure how long in use, may be subject to early failure.

As a minimum if you do decide to go with one, clean up very well and replace impeller which are available for most.

    Good luck!

sounds like a good deal on the remora. although, i have 2 prizms i got for trade and i like them alot, they are older but work really good in my opinion. plus with what ive read on here, i know what to watch for if they go bad!! if you can hagle for the prizm, do it, try for like $35 or so, you can trade it off later for something better, trust me, craigslist!!! if u can get the power heard for $10 each do it, its cheap stuff.
