Not dead set, just want a really good clean up crew. Thanks for mentioning those. Did you use Epoxy for your LR or EggCrate underneath? Is your LR sitting directly on the glass?

No epoxy or egg crate...never really even considered it. I understand the advantages of it, but it's not a necessity.

I put my base pieces of LR in before I added the sand, so for the most part the LR is directly against the bottom glass.

Would there be an issue with putting egg crate in with the sand still in the tank? I could just push it through the sand to the bottom. Think the snails, or blennys etc would care about it being there?

you could take all the rocks out of the tank.. and re arrange them on the floor to get an idea on how you want them. there needs to be more holes IMHO.. some people drill holes in the rock and use small diameter pvc piping to make a arch way, use tie wraps through holes in rocks to make big crevises.. etc.. you can do a search for that info. I myself stack big rocks first on bottom and work my way up bridging gaps with flatter rocks, etc.. just make sure when your done its pretty sturdy, dont want it to crash down when your hands in the tank. (sucks, had it happen twice to me). if you have a bigger rock you want smaller, Mr. Hammer does wonders..

    :) have fun!
