OK. i know my tank has been up for 1 year but i want to change the aquascaping! I want more and bigger cave areas.

I have bought egg crate panels and pvc pipes to set it up? If you used this method I would love some advice before i start.

    Pro's

    Con's

What to do or what not to do's (I do have corals so some rock will be difficult to relocate).

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Well, since you already want to re-aquascape, I really suggest you don't use PVC/glue/braces etc. Once you do that, it will be much harder to change the scape down the road. That's the one reason I never do any of that myself ;)

yeah what type of your your using(shape and size and origin), amount of rock you have would probably be a couple determining factors. i like to mix things up every once and i while and thats why i just use the rock

I have 90 lbs of rock but most of it is 4" to 5" which makes it harder to stack because there is a lot of it. I was going to use the egg crate and pvc to make shelves to help create cave areas that would not collapse and get the rock up closer to the top without investing in a bunch more rock.

I dont plan on attaching the rock to anything because i am sure i will probably want to rearrange it again sometime in the future.

my girlfriend says i will never admit to being done adjusting the aquarium, i had to agree. I told her i was not "adjusting" it, i am "perfecting" the tank. I dont think she is buying it.

here is a pic of the tank now.
