I'm sure the fans will help some too.

I will learn today, the fans are in place. When a get up, the tank is normally 77.2 and about 79.8 to 80.2 when I get home. When I get home today it will tell the story.

Be careful with the fans, they can lowere the tank 5 degrees or more in a single day. When I used fans in my canopy I put them on a variable voltage DC power supply (wall wart style for about $8) and lowered the voltage to 7.5 or 9v to slow them down. I also eventually placed the fans on the same timer as my MH lights as that was when the temp rose enough to require them.
Even later I purchased a Reefkeeper Lite controller and moved the fans on to the temperature sensor provided with the RKL so they came on and off as dictated by temperatures.

Another thing is the fans will greatly increase evaporation so be prepared. If you don't already have an ATO you might consider one.

Will I would say all went good. temp this morning 77, temp when I got home, 76.5 I was hoping to keep my temp increase to a degree or degree/half, but it actually went down .5 of a degree. can't complain about that.
