    I have the JBJ ATO and can't complain. It's not too expensive. I bought mine around Black Friday for 60. I think normal online is around 80.

    I have a couple of Tsunami ATO's that I like really well as they work without a float valve, which always tend to be the weak link in ATO's.

    If you have al place to put a bucket higher than your sump you can bulild an ATO with a float valve, autotopoff.com have some nice ones for good price.

    I know it may be considered breaking the bank but I just installed an Elos Osmocontroller ATO and I couldn't be happier with it. This thing just flat out works. No moving parts whatsoever and worth every penny.

    Good luck whatever you decide.

    Why would it need to be higher couldn you hook up a pump to take care of that?

    Yea, a system like mine!

    The ATO part is less than $15!

    I use a quality- all plastic/ but sturdy float valve;
    hooked directly to my RO/DI- the DI side of course.

    It's drilled to the side of my plastic sump, above the water line.
    Yes, it has it's dangers- none of which have happened in about a year- like getting stuck and adding too much DI water at once.

    In reality however, It'd be hard to do that, beeing as the float is quite large, and only a portion of it submerged shuts the valve anyways.

    So if it's all the way under- that's alot of leverage and force to shut the valve- works for me.

    The next best thing would be a gravity container with the same float valve, and just fillling the resevoir with DI every few days.

    I'd go JBJ and just rinse the valves everymonth as part of reg maintenance, about 2 minutes of your time, pretty fool proof, IMO
