aussie vs reg(?)

    whats the difference between aussie coral and regular coral? is aussie coral collected from GBR? like for example Aussie torch is purple compared to a reg torch thats whitish green?

    Aussie means it is from Australia. but I don't know if it is from the GBR. I thought that was all protected area. The main difference will be coloring.

    Coloring.... and price of course. Anything marked Aussie, expect to pay premium price. There is a ton of shipping costs to absorb.

    thats dumb....they should just grow a whole bunch and frag it all.....but its not up to me sooo high prices it is :p

    Not necessarily GBR, there's coral all over Northern Oz.

    "Aussie" coral means it comes from Australia, or water near Australia. The price difference, if there is one, isn't from shipping, as lots of other corals come from relatively close areas including fiji, Bali, Indian Ocean and Japan, but from the more vibrant colors that you generally see from corals in that area. Not all Aussie corals demand a premium, but they are generally nice looking and thus people pay more.
