Can anyone help me ID this crab?
I've been losing corals mysteriously over the last few months, and I'm pretty sure this guy is the culprit.
I just spotted him tonight when he tried to grab the tube I feed my anenome with, scared the crap out of me!
    He's very aggressive!
He's must have came with the original live rock I bought two years ago

bumping this. It would be nice to really identify this crab so we can add it to the ID library which is being developed.

If the claws are pointy- it's got to come out. If the claws are rounded- it's a keeper.

He'd probably stay in my tank. I'm a firm believer that my reef needs all kinds of algae - even cyano - to keep the tank stable. If it's part of the reef it can be a part of my tank. Obviously only to an extent. I would probably leave it in my tank - Innocent until proven guilty. I have a few unidentified crabs in my tank and have never had a problem. Stuff like mantis shrimp are a no go though. If it got too big then I'd take it out.
