I'd get him out just to get a better picture. I can't positively identify from your picture.

    Thanks for your help guys.
I am pretty sure that it is a type of Xanthid
I'm also pretty sure that he's responsible for the disappearence of my emerald crabs and my cleaner shrimp. I'm guessing he stayed pretty small the first year and a half untill I started buy corals for him to munch on!
For now I'll leave him be, theres not much left for him to eat.
I've got an excellent video of him where you can really see how aggresive he is. I'll compress it so I can post it here

Are you going to catch him and remove him? If so how are you going to catch him...

    Video of bad crab

Here is a video of the crab.
Quality isn't too bad, and you can see how aggressive he is.
See my post on the Slug, it looks like Franken crab has a friend
Spotted crab again last night. Definately has black tipped claws

So how are you planning on removing that crab? Crab trap?

I'm going to remove him somehow, but I really don't have a removal plan yet.
Tearing the tank down to get him really isn't an option.
I guess i'll try and bait him into a trap then put him in the refugium

Let me know how you get him gone...I'd love to know. I might have to make a plan like that myself.
