    would a black light at night be harmful?

    Im pretty sure blacklights have UV emissions would could be harmful to your fish. But im not totally positive

    A black light emits far too much UV for use on our tanks. If you want a bit of the blacklight glow, use a bulb with a small portion of actinic 03 / 420nm, like the UVL 454 T5.

    Im pretty sure there are some blacklights with lower UV emissions that wouldn't be so bad, but in the long run it would have harmful effects on your tank if its just for a little bit im sure it wouldn't do much damage I wouldn't really recommend it tho.

    U want very low to no uv at night try night led lights yes there are a difference a day time one is 1w with a emitter and moon lights are a lot smaller
