sorry to hear it birch, its a pain in the bum when everything is going so well and looking sharp, and then one day it all goes to the crapper faster than aids through a brothel. I had the damned itch a few weeks ago on my trigger. I had to go with the copper and qt tank which killed it all, but he got it back in the big tank. Reduce the gravity as has been said to about 1.017 and you should speed up the life cycle up. There are also some reef-safe treatments that you can try, but im not sure how good they are. Try anything and everything lol! good luck my friend and let us know how it goes!!

that seems so drastic though... i mean ive heard of it and everything but i dont know for this case of it. the thing is that the angel just came in the mail and it is going through alot of stress right now.

not to knock your support at all Breed i just think that the best interest for the fish that he get it to 1.020 for now and if that doesnt get rid it, then lower it some more

Yea, I think it is because of stress. My tank is not a reef yet, so im not crossing out copper. But I really dont want to use copper if I dont have to. Ill start the water changes tomarow, and see what happens. Thanks guys for all the support!!!

Just my 2 cents... it worked for me. Yes use copper as a last resort cause it can hurt even you LR and can stay around in your tank for a while. It would be from stress so if you can minimise all levels of stress you are helping out the fish. 1.017 may be a bit low, but thats what my LFS recommended to me. Dont put it too low or you will stress it out more.

    Hey Birchell,
You should keep a close eye on this ich espescially with small fish like the neon goby. I had an outbreak and the LFS suggested that I get some neon gobys to help with it, well the ich took them out so fast it wasent even funny. I got them at 30$ a piece and there went 60 bucks like nothing... Just watch them in there! Since it is the early stages of ich I would reccomend a freshwater dip! That is a fast way to kill it, just make sure the ph and temp are the same.
Good luck man, let us know how it turns out.

Well the SG is at 1.020, after hours of buckets, lol. All the fish seem to be responding well. The clown is darker now and is breathing better. And the angel is also getting darker, but the ick looks like it spread last night on him. I hope the new SG will help!! If not ill just lower it more. What are the symtoms of velvet?? Im not sure I have it, I just want to make sure. That would really do some damage in my tank!! Thanks for the help,

    Michael
