I've heard some bad experiences with workhorse ballasts, don't know anything about accustart though or how old the info is on the workhorses. Maybe they have changed or something.

Workhorse... Most peoples Triads burn out quickly or at least they HAVE burnt out quick....
People rag on tht WH saying that the instant start will degrade lamps...Well you are turning the lamps on once a day, not multiple, the difference between that and say a program start would be tough to notice.
Even so, a slightly shorter lamp life would be better than fried ballasts..

ok...so workhorse sounds to be the better choice...i usually have my actinincs and daylights cycle...actinincs on in the am for a few hours and then off then the actinics come back on for a couple of hours in the evening...but daylights are on on from 10-6 then actinics are on from 5-8pm.. so with the actinics coming on twice...will that be cycling be an issue with the workhorse ballast???

    thanks

Why do you have the actinics turn off at all?
Advance/Universal has a program start but its failure rate is higher than that of the WH... Not seriously high but high enough to take notice....
