It is a dry heat, yeah right !
One was in a 200 gallon tank the other a 120 gallon. When they hatch they are about 4-6 inches, and grow quickly. Both tanks were mixed reefs, not a good fish for reef tanks. Fish only larger tanks they might be ok.

I believe it is a Banded Bamboo shark. The shark is about three to four inches long inside the egg right now. I believe it should hatch around June at this point.

LOL! I can provide pictures of the shark in his egg if you would like. I'm hoping to actually be able to video the shark breaking out of the egg - that would be very cool.

I would agree that even a 180 is to small for it long term. My lfs has one full grown at 4.5 feet!! I've heard feeding them once they hatch is very tricky also. Have to offer food multiple times a day and some times the pups won't accept food and perish. But I do wish you all the luck, and hope ya get to upgrade to a 300g :)

ensure that if it hatches you are ready for it, you should not have much rock work, just a few caves here and there because they are very lively on the sandbed like corrailine said. also you must ensure that the sand is the finest sand you can find. or else it will rub its belly raw!
