    Hi,
    May be a dumb question but would oysters make a good sump filter cleaner or more trouble . And I never see any barnacles in any ones tanks is that a problem child too.

    I would avoid both! For your sump-live rock, Sponges with subdued lighting.
    If you want a bivalve, I would go with a Tridacna(Squamosa or Deresa) and place in your main tank in your substrate.
    What is in your sump right now?

    Well I have about 50-70 little black snail couple hermits, serpent star that I havent seen in a while and some worms.
