    Can I add Dry Base Rock to my sump any time I want with no bad effects?

    base rock is dead rock i would have to say it wouldn't effect peramiters if anything i would have to say it would help your tank.

    no as long as it isnt a type of rock that leeches something dangerous, go crazy. nothing should go wrong

    Right, if i do this ill buy from good vender. i think i only need to add 15-20Lbs

    I already have 76lbs of LR it DT and 5 lbs LR in sump i wanna add BR to sump

    You may see a spike in nitrite. But it should be minimal. Just make sure to rinse it real well ;)
