The trigger is WAY too cool. I'm really diggin' him/her a lot. But, he's digging deep holes in the sand. No big deal, but I've never seen one do that.

As for the snow, it's almost gone...I hate snow!

I don't have any live coral, but the owner of the LFS said that this species was reef safe.

Really!!! The only trigger that I know of that is reef safe is the blue throat. And mybe the niger if you dont want shrimp. The trigger you have will eat crabs, shrimps, hard, and soft corals. Pretty much anything you put in the tank. And when it gets bigger it will become quite aggressive. Just thought you would like to know.

Well, when the time comes I guess we'll have to do it. I've seen some pretty good deals on 55 gallon tanks here. But for the time being, this 26 will have to do.

IMO do not classify all fish that are labelled as not reef safe, to really be un-safe. I have a pink-tail trigger who doesn't eat my snails or any of my corals, i have a lemonpeel angel who also doesn't bother my corals, and a emperor angel who has yet to touch a coral. So IMO you may get lucky with a fish that behaves itself.

Hey Duck is the Butterfly eating alright ? Thats the tricky part with them most ll will accept brinshrimp but thats worthless and will not keep them healthy lone.. I have seen more then a few succumb to the new owners feeling they where fine because they where eating the Brine so readily.. Thats where most larger butterfly's get the reputation as dieing in a heartbeat for no apparent reasons.

I've been feeding them AquaDine flakes for right now. I haven't introduced anything else yet and the trigger is loving the stuff. The henniochus seems more intrested in whats floating around the substrate than the falling food, but has nibbled on the green flakes. The mouth on that fish is really small, so I crunch up the flakes.

Does anyone reccomend the kelp/algae paper, or anything else? I don't need a $40 fish starving to death....
